Title VI Compliance

Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and its statues provide that no person, in the United States, shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. It requires recipients of federal funding to take reasonable step to ensure "meaningful" access to the information and services they provide. The Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 broadened the scope of Title VI coverage by expanding the definition of terms "programs or activities" to include all programs or activities of Federal Aid recipients, sub-recipients, and contractors, whether such programs and activities are federally assisted or not.

The Department of Aviation at Dallas Love Field (DAL) assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or income as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related authorities, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any Department of Aviation at Dallas Love Field (DAL) sponsored program or activity. The Department of Aviation at Dallas Love Field further assures every effort will be made to ensure non-discrimination in all of its programs and activities, whether those programs and activities are federally funded or not. Any patron of airport services, programs or activities who has been subjected to unlawful discrimination may file a complaint of discrimination by accessing the information link Title VI Complaint Procedures below.
